The aim of this study was to investigate the moderating role of gender on the relationship between parental psychological control and peer victimization with problematic mobile phone use. The research method was a descriptive correlational study, and the statistical population was middle and high school students in Gorgan in the 2023-2024 academic year. 360 students were selected using cluster sampling. The research instruments were the Parental Psychological Control Questionnaires (Sonnens et al., 2010), Peer Victimization (Marinard and Joseph, 2000), and Problematic Mobile Phone Use (Genaro et al., 2007). The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental psychological control and peer victimization with problematic mobile phone use of students (P<050). Parental psychological control and peer victimization explain 34 and 55 percent of the changes in problematic mobile phone use, respectively. Also, the multiple relationships between parental psychological control and peer victimization with problematic mobile phone use were stronger in female students than in male students. According to the research findings, problematic mobile phone use can be predicted by the variables of parental psychological control and peer victimization with gender role.
