Based on the conditions of the official marriage certificate, the husband grants the wife irrevocable power of attorney in divorce so that in twelve specified cases, the wife can proceed with divorce by going to court and completing the legal formalities as the husband's attorney. The ultimate goal of these conditions is to protect the wife and to grant her the right to divorce as the husband's attorney in specific cases and to prevent the husband from abusing the exclusive right to divorce, but some jurisprudential and legal characteristics of attorneyship cause its capacity as a reliable institution for the wife to be questioned. The findings of the present study, which are organized in a descriptive-analytical method and based on library resources, indicate that the attorneyship does not have much capacity to support the wife and achieve the aforementioned ultimate goals. The proposal of this study is to pursue the aforementioned goals by making the judicial divorce institution more agile.
