Aims and Scope

The Journals of Family Research (J Fam Res), established in 2005, is a double-blind peer-reviewed quarterly journal, owned, managed & published by Shahid Beheshti University. The aim of this interdisciplinary journal is to provide a space for scholars and experts to publish their studies, researches, and theories focusing on families. The journal will cover family realted fields such as psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, law, psychiatry, social medicine, health and communication. The journal also seeks to synthesize these different points of view, in order to form a coherent understanding and paint a more holistic, comprehensive, and accurate picture of the family institution. The journal scope includes but are not restricted to, the following areas:

  • Family Therapy, Marriage, and Counseling
  • Family Health, Hygiene, and Well-being
  • Social and Cultural Developments in Families
  • Studies of the Social, Psychological, and Legal Aspects of Divorce
  • Family Legal Issues
  • Topics related to Child-rearing

The contemporary era is marked by rapid technological advancements and societal complexities, leading to dynamic changes within a developing society and the emergence of various challenges. Consequently, the primary mission of this quarterly journal is to disseminate innovative findings in psychology that can be applied across diverse facets of human life. This facilitates scientific communication between researchers and interested parties on both national and international levels.
