Investigating the relationship between future time perspective and the Incentives for Childbearing with the Marriage Attitude and the Attitude toward Childbearing

Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between the future time perspective and the incentives for Childbearing with the marriage attitude and the attitude toward childbearing among the youth of Kurdistan province. This research was applied research with descriptive-correlation method of regression type. The statistical population of this research included all university students in Kurdistan province in the academic year of 2023-2024, and 401 people were selected using the available sampling method. In order to collect data, the Attitude toward Fertility and Childbearingng (ATFC), the Marriage Attitude Scale (MAS), Attitudes toward the Government's Childbearing Incentives Scale (ATGCIS) and future time perspective scale for adolescents and young adults (FTPS-AYA) was used. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 22 software. The findings of this research showed that the future time perspective (p<0.001, F=61.955 and R2=14.1) and incentives for Childbearing (p<0.001, F=77.859 and R2=27.9) significantly predict the marriage attitude and attitude toward childbearing. The findings of the present research emphasize the role of future time perspective and incentives for childbearing in predicting marriage attitude and attitude toward childbearing among the youth.
