Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between autonomy and intimacy of the family of origin and marital adjustment: with respect to the role of personality factors have been studied. The study population consisted of men and women who were married in Qazvin city and at least one year was passed of their marriage. For this purpose, we recruited 300 subjects (150 married men and 150 married women) and they answered to the demographic information, family of origin Scale (FOS), dyadic adjustment scale (DAS) and measure five personality traits (NEO-FFI) respectively . Data were analized using path analysis, through Bootstrap test. The results showed that the autonomy and intimacy of the family of origin have direct impact on marital adjustment. Also personality factors have role of mediator in relation to the autonomy of the family of origin with marital adjustment and intimacy of the family of origin with marital adjustment. Based on the results, it can be said that experience of the family of origin and personality factors may be associated with levels of marital adjustment.In fact, if a person benefits of upper Autonomy and intimacy of the family of origin, is expected to be temperamental in his neurotic personality was low, the more able to control their shakes and much stronger than others deal of stress, and it makes the end to reach a higher marital adjustment
