Subjects were 375 (168 mal and 207 female) students selected through available sampling from Shahid Beheshti university and were assessed using questionnaire of mate selection criteria. The data of this research was analyzed using friedman and independent t test. Result showed that there were significant differences between males and females in most of the mate selection criteria. Overall, males preferred criteria related with beautifulness and females preferred the criteria related to males financial capability and reliability. Furthermore, the resultes of the present study indicate a serial of changes that have been occurred since early 80's in mate selection criteria. For example, an increse in the importance of good finance prospect for females and the important of the beautifulness for males of this sample. The results related to sex differences support the evalutionlry theory of mate selection. Comparing the results of the present study and the results of study that has been done in early 80's shows cultural chages in our country from traditional and religious values towards non-traditional and modern values in mate selection. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی ترجیحهای انتخاب همسر دختران و پسران، مقایسۀ ملاک‌های دو جنس و بررسی تغییرات ایجاد شده در مهم‌ترین ملاک‌های این نمونه، در مقایسه ‌با نمونه ‌پژوهشی انجام گرفت که در اوایل دهۀ شصت در کشور انجام شده بود. تعداد ۳۷۵ دانشجو (۱۶۸ پسر و ۲۰۷ دختر) به شیوۀ نمونه‌گیری در دسترس از بین دانشجویان دانشگاه شهید بهشتی انتخاب شدند و با استفاده از پرسش‌نامۀ ملاک‌های انتخاب همسر بررسی شدند. داده‌های پژوهش با استفاده آزمون‌های فریدمن و t مستقل تحلیل شد. یافته‌ها حاکی از آن بود که بین پسران و دختران در بیشترِ ملاک‌های انتخاب همسر تفاوت معناداری وجود دارد.به‌ طور کلی، پسران، ملاک‌های مرتبط با زیبایی و دختران، ملاک‌های مرتبط با توانایی مالی مرد و قابل ‌اتکا بودن او را بیشتر ترجیح می‌دهند. همچنین مقایسۀ نتایج پژوهش حاضر با پژوهش انجام‌ شده در اوایل دهۀ شصت نشان‌دهندۀ تغییراتی در زمینۀ ملاک‌های انتخاب همسر، از جمله افزایش اهمیت آیندۀ مالی خوب برای دختران و اهمیت زیبایی برای پسران نمونه حاضر بود. یافته‌های مربوط ‌به تفاوت‌های جنسیتی از دیدگاه تکاملی انتخاب همسر حمایت کرد. مقایسۀ نتایج پژوهش حاضر با پژوهش انجام‌ شده در اوایل دهۀ شصت نیز حاکی از تغییراتی در فرهنگ کشور از ارزشهای سنتی و دینی در انتخاب همسر به‌سوی ارزش‌های غیرسنتی و مدرن بود. https://jfr.sbu.ac.ir/article_96237_c0cd133354925ee6a1bd3891f0fce4cb.pdf
